Work Force Development (WFD)
ICS4ICS Work Force Development Tools and Resources
ICS4ICS worked with Idaho National Laboratory (INL) to create Work Force Development data for OT, Cybersecurity, IT, and NIMS/ICS jobs. The project created tools to help asset owners to do the following:
- Define jobs that can be used to hire staff and manage their training and development plans
- Complete a self-assessment of skills required by staff to ensure they can perform tasks required for their job(s) and help develop plans to address skill gaps
- Ensure staff are available to perform ICS4ICS and Cyber Incident Response job functions and identify staffing alternatives like:
- Vendors of IACS system, IT support components, networks, and other components may be critical to help investigate incident and provide solutions including recovery
- System Integrators, MSP, and other consultants may perform day-to-day support or periodic system upgrades
- Reciprocal Agreements with other companies like yours who agree to support each other if one of the companies is impact by a cyber incident
- Paid service companies provide staff to perform high tech functions that are critical to investigate and resolve incidents, like forensics and malware reverse engineering
