Staffing and Work Force
ICS4ICS Staffing and Work Force Tools and Resources
ICS4ICS created Work Force Development data for OT/Industrial Control System, Cybersecurity, IT, and NIMS/Incident Command System roles. The project created tools to help asset owners to do the following:
- Define jobs that can be used to hire staff and manage their training and development plans
- Complete a self-assessment of skills required by staff to ensure they can perform tasks required for their job(s) and help develop plans to address skill gaps
- Leverage the skills self-assessment tools to evaluate staff from alternative staffing sources
- Ensure staff are available to perform ICS4ICS and Cyber Incident Response job functions and identify staffing alternatives like:
- Vendors of IACS system, IT support components, networks, and other components may be critical to help investigate incidents and provide solutions including recovery
- System Integrators, Managed Service Providers, and other consultants who perform day-to-day support or periodic system upgrades are critical to perform Computer Incident Response and may also be required to participate in system recovery if they perform backups
- Reciprocal Agreements with other companies like yours who agree to support each other if one of the companies is impacted by a cyber incident
- Paid service companies perform high-tech functions that are critical to investigate and resolve incidents, which may include forensics and malware reverse engineering
